Estes Park Couples Portraits
Forming connections with people across the country is something that I can’t quite put into words. One of the most beautiful parts of being a traveling Wedding and Elopement Photography + Videography team is that we have had so many incredible opportunities to do exactly that. When Alyssa and Trevor’s Estes Park Couples Portraits were officially on my calendar, I was pumped to frolic in a wide open field surrounded by snowcapped mountains.
Estes Park, Colorado Couples Session
The wedding photography community can definitely have a competitive connotation. And while that definitely can be the case, nothing beats connecting with another photographer who is encouraging and inspiring. Alyssa and I had followed one another on Instagram for awhile before the idea of meeting up for a Rocky Mountain National Park couples session swap came about. At the time, Chuck and I had been traveling around out West in our Scout Truck Camper living our very best vagabond lives.
Looking back at these photos now, nearly 1 year later, is a surreal feeling. I remember so vividly how stunning Alyssa’s cornflower blue dress, white cowboy boots, and white white-brimmed hat looked in the field of dried grass. The mountains emerging from cloud cover, skirted by lush green pines added a beautiful contrast. Chuck and I gushed about how much we loved the scenery, being in the mountains, and just soaking up every bit of Colorado’s beauty. And now? Chuck and I live in Colorado, not too far from where Alyssa and Trevor do!

The Lord has a funny way of working, huh? For so long, Chuck and I dreamed of living in a state where we would be able to be active year-round. Being from the Midwest, we both grew up with a love of all four seasons, but always found ourselves wanting more. The Lord closed many doors just to open the best one yet. It’s safe to say that we’ll always look back on these Estes Park Couples Portraits with gratitude (and a touch of nostalgia).
