Woodland Park Cozy Engagement Session

If there was ever a time I felt like I was photographing some ‘behind the scenes’ of a Noah Kahn music video, it would’ve been during this late afternoon with Hailey and Andrew. Looking back at their Woodland Park cozy engagement session, I can say with certainty that the vibes were immaculate. Between the towering pines, Hailey and Andrew’s magnetic chemistry, and watching their sweet German Shepherd frolic through the tall grass, it was a perfect Colorado afternoon.

It’s a tale as old as time: college athletes meet and fall in love. But the story never gets old! Hailey was a collegiate rower at Drake University, while Andrew was a linebacker on the football team. Bonding over their love of the Lord, traveling, and staying active, the rest is history! While Hailey is a fellow Midwestern gal, these two set their sites on Andrew’s home-state of Colorado to start building their life together. And what better way to celebrate a new move than with engagement photos!?

What is so uniquely beautiful about Hailey and Andrew’s Woodland Park cozy engagement session was that they it place at Andrew’s family cabin. The property was blanketed in towering pines, tall grasses, and the sweet smell of mountain air. As they strolled through the forest, hand-in-hand, I swear I heard “Stick Season” playing off in the distance (iykyk). After spending some time just being two kids pushing each other on the old wooden swing, darkness crept through the trees, urging us to head inside the cozy cabin. 

The scene couldn’t have been cozier—soft blankets, flickering firelight, and a plate of marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate waiting to be turned into s’mores. The golden glow of the fire highlighted Hailey and Andrew’s happiness and created an intimate, cozy atmosphere. Each shared (or stolen 😉) s’more was accompanied by giggles and stolen kisses—the best way to end our time together.

As I write this, Hailey and Andrew have now been married for THREE months! Capturing not only their cozy engagement session, but their heartfelt wedding was such a joy.
