Adventure North Shore Minnesota Elopement
This day was truly an experience to remember. Janelle and Justin are so in love and made their adventure-filled North Shore Minnesota elopement exactly the way they wanted it to be - no exceptions. And, it was amazing. They enjoyed the simple moments together; it was magical to be a part of. We started their day off at Larsmont Cottages for their getting ready photos, made our way to Tettagouche State Park for their first look and ceremony, stopped by Betty’s Pies for pre-ceremony celebratory shakes, and then made our way to Iona Beach for their couple portraits. An Emotional and Adventure-Filled Minnesota Elopement
One of our favorite parts about capturing our couples at their elopement is that they make it their own. They are able to pick a place that is meaningful to them. And, they get to focus on just the two of them while incorporating intentional moments into their day. It really is an experience that our couples are able to cherish forever all while not having the stress of a big production of a traditional wedding day with hundreds of people. These are some of the many reasons why we will always say that we are pro-elopement over the large traditional wedding day.
Janelle and Justin did just this during their Minnesota elopement. They were able to focus on just the two of them, pick a place that was meaningful to them, and have intentional moments. They chose to have their best friend officiate. And, they decided to stop for shakes before their ceremony! So fun!! It was a chill and laid-back day but super emotional for Janelle and Justin as the weight of committing their lives together sunk in.
Their Elopement Experience
They did not hold back with the intentional and meaningful moments during their Minnesota elopement on the North Shore. Janelle and Justin chose to read letters their families had sent with them. They did this right after their first look to incorporate their loved ones. Justin is from Michigan and Janelle is from MN, so Lake Superior was their chosen spot because the lake touches both MN and MI. So sweet!! Literally, I have heart eyes and am still swooning over here as I relive this day. They chose a stunning backdrop of Shovel Point Overlook for their ceremony and it did not disappoint. Their vows were super emotive and beautiful and their officiant (Justin’s best friend) nailed their ceremony out of the park! It was so special since he’s been a long-time friend of the groom and knows the couple well. One of our favorite parts of the day was when we went to their mini picnic to end their evening. It included some of their favorite snacks - Janelle loves salt water taffy and Justin is a sour gummy worm guy. Their Minnesota elopement was the perfect blend of being adventurous, emotional, meaningful, and intentional to celebrate their lives forever together.
