A Moody Meets Modern Wedding at Ivory North in Mora, Minnesota
Weddings are already special but when your very own brother ties the knot - they just become that much more magical! We had yet the chance to document a wedding here so naturally we had to bring out the film camera! Ivory North is a stunning venue - everywhere you look is a beautiful spot for portraits and their ceremony space and reception area for dinner were no exceptions. Malia and Per put a lot of intention into their minimal but stylish decorations. Their table scapes were absolutely lovely and the glow of the reception area in the evening was so incredibly dreamy. Per and Malia hold a special place in my heart and always will. Per is the middle child and is right below me in the sibling line up. We were always close growing up and have continued to grow closer the older we get. He followed me to Winona State University and we were both involved in the same campus ministry. There were a lot of late nights bonding over TV shows such as Chopped and Seinfeld and many meals shared together.
Per always kept me in the loop with his dating life. He’d go on a few dates here and there but they never amounted to much. But then, one evening I get a call and he tells me about this gal named Malia. How she is adopted from Thailand and her name in Thai literally translates to ‘apple’. Who could write a greater love story than God himself?! Per + Malia. I mean.. come on?!
Fast forward a little bit, I was able to document Per’s proposal and from there the wedding planning ensued! Malia: we are thrilled to have you as part of the family!! LOVE YOU BOTH!
