A Fun and Playful Couples Session in Sedona, AZ
Shooting in the gorgeous deserts of Arizona is one of our favorites, and Lauren and Joe absolutely killed it in front of the camera! We did a wedding of Lauren's friend and met her and Joe this past summer. When they saw we were coming down to Arizona, they reached out and asked if we could do a couples session with them in Sedona! Lauren and Joe decided to make a little weekend out of it with staying the night at a local hotel and enjoying a few hikes in addition to their photoshoot. Lauren had mentioned to me that every photoshoot she has had done in the past (their engagement photos, wedding photos, etc), it was always cloudy. Her one request was that we get some sun flares in her images, and boy did we deliver!! It was a beautiful sunny evening and we had the best time! We met up with Lauren and Joe at the start of the trailhead and took a short walk to a gorgeous overlook. The sun was out to play and made for a spectacular glow across the entire landscape. Joe was looking exceptionally suave with his trendy sunglasses and stoic expressions!
We stayed past blue hour which was super fun and did a little flash photography and a champagne pop - we focused on keeping the couple focused on each other and were always open to any specific photos Lauren and Joe wanted (namely the ones of Joe giving Lauren a piggy back ride and the champagne popping!) They have been married for a couple years and are still as in love as ever!

They guided us with poses that felt like fun activities and kept us enjoying ourselves the whole time. It was just like a double date with friends, if the friends turned around and delivered INCREDIBLE photos afterwards. My only request was to have some of the Arizona sun shining through, and they went above and beyond captured photos with some of the prettiest lighting ever!!
